Volunteer parents/guardians and Springville staff working together to enrich every Springville student school experience.
PTO sponsors and coordinates many activities: OBOB, Art Literacy, technology refresh for classrooms, library and classroom book refresh and restocking, cafeteria improvements, Literacy Night, Global Gala, 5th Grade celebration, field trips, staff appreciation days and more!

HOW DOES THE PTO FUNDRAISE?

ONE MAIN FUNDRAISER EACH YEAR IN THE FALL
The PTO aims to have only ONE fundraiser per school year to raise enough to support our students. Typically it is our Wolf Run in early October.
It takes about 10 volunteers and about 2 hours/week for 4-6 weeks to organize and execute the event.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO HAVE SOME OF THESE EVENTS
OBOB: $1,500 and 10 volunteers working together for 4-6 weeks 2-3 hours/week
Art Literacy: $2,000 and 50 volunteers working 2-3 hours/month through the school year
5th grade celebrations: $2,000 and 8 parents working 4 hours/week for 4-5 weeks
Classrooms Parties: $1,500 and 20 volunteers for 2-3 hours/week for 2 weeks
Staff Appreciation- $2,000 and 4-6 volunteers per event, about 2-3 hours total
Global Gala : 10 volunteers, 3-4 hours/week for 2 weeks pre-event

WHAT ELSE DOES THE PTO DO WITH THE FUNDS RAISED?

School Library and Classrooms Books Refresh and Replenish-- Each year, PTO allocates an amount to each teacher and to the school library to refresh and replenish the classrooms books and materials needed to enhance our students education. Typically, about $20,000/year
Cafeteria equipment refresh- The PTO awarded a $2,000 mini-grant to upgrade some of the equipment used to pack food to support our students once hybrid mode started
Technology Refresh for all classrooms- past years, the PTO paid for all classrooms for technology refresh with smart TVs and upgraded computers for teachers to be more effective delivering instructional material. Your funds have benefited the school for the last couple of years. About $70,000 were spent on this project, all money raised by PTO

Springville PTO, with the support of our entire community, helped out 18 families with food and clothing and other essential items last Fall.
